Abstract

When the Dutch Delta-plan for Cultural Heritage Protection was inaugurated in the early 1990’s nobody would have thought that The Netherlands was to become later world renowned not only for its focus on preventive and active conservation of the cultural heritage, but also for an innovative analytical approach and development of expertise in understanding ageing and molecular changes in art works.
