Abstract

The ancient city of Hama was excavated between 1931 and 1938 by a team of Danish archaeologists under the direction of Harald Ingholt, 1934, Ingholt, 1940; Fugmann, 1958, Riis, 1990, Hald et al., 2025). A substantial portion of the discovered artifacts, including a range of organic materials such as animal bones and charred plant remains, was exported to Denmark for post-excavation analysis, where it remains a valuable resource for research on ancient Syria
