Project Details
Description
The project is inspired by the fact that several
Danish churches during the last years have been taken out of their original use
as churches, and that we now have to find other functions which may fit into
the rooms. Drawing on foreign experiences as well as Danish research and
discussions the intention is to investigate, which factors have to be
considered, when buildings with such a specific purpose, reflected in their
design, must be changed into something different. How far may one go, without
depriving the building of its soul? And are the problems different, when it
comes to churches, compared with other buildings like post offices or
manors? (publication of a scientific monograph)
