Project Details
Description
The main objective of this project is to characterize and understand the liquefying process on Tal R paintings using mainly spectroscopic techniques at CATS – SMK. The results will be compared to materials from the artist’s studio potentially used by Tal R on those paintings, as well as materials from a non-dripping artwork from the same period and artist. The identification of those materials will contribute to a better understanding of the degradation process as well as to better design conservation and exhibition strategies.
