Curriculum

Poul Klenz Larsen has a MSc (1990) and a PhD (1998) in building physics from the Technical University in Copenhagen. He has worked for many years as a consultant for museums and historic buildings. He has been senior consultant at the National Museum of Denmark since 2005, and a consultant for the Danish Church Ministry since 2010. His main working areas are energy efficient heating and climate control in cultural heritage buildings, in particular in medieval churches. His main field of research and consultancy lies in low energy storage for archives and museums, and he has coauthored numerous publications on this subject. Another branch of research is salt and moisture in historic buildings, particularly in masonry, and development of mortars for restoration. He has taught relevant courses in architecture and conservation at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, at Uppsala University and at Göteborg University.
