The research activities at the National Gallery of the Faroe Islands focuses on the museum's area of responsibility and collections. The focal point is Faroese art from 1830s until today. An international perspective is an integrated part of the museum's ambitions.
The research is disseminated through research projects, exhibitions, publications and seminars. The National Gallery of the Faroe Islands is pleased to collaborate with other institutions on research projects, including museum partners and universities, and we welcome housing PhD and postdoc projects whenever possible.
