Organisation profile

The Green Museum is Denmark’s national museum for hunting, forests, agriculture and food. The museum is the result of a merger in 2017 between the Danish Museum of Hunting and Forestry in Hørsholm and the Danish Agricultural Museum in Auning.

Research is conducted into the cultural history within and across the museum's four areas of work; putting people first. This is based on the fact that the museum addresses the use of land and resources for approx. 80% of the Danish land area, and that the museum has a unique and considerably extensive collection of items reflecting this history.
