Understanding Paintings cracks by Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)

The tomographic signal obtained by OCT is a useful technique to examine and understand in a totally non-invasive way structural and internal problems in paint layers. Macro and micro photographs will help to complement and better understand those accidental features on the surface and upper layers of the paintings. X-ray radiography and infrared reflectography (IRR) can be also assessed.
