Characterization of the palette of "Jesu dåb", ca. 1619 (from Rosenborg: Vinterstuen, østvæg)

MA-XRF and reflectance spectroscopy analyses were carried out to characterise the palette of the panel painting "Jesu dåb", belonging to the Winter Room at Rosemborg Castle. This is the pilot test of a large project that involves the MA-XRF acquisition, processing and interpretation of data from all panel paintings in the Winter Room.
