Merete Sanderhoff has worked for more than ten years at SMK – the national gallery of Denmark to open up digitally the museum’s vast collections – and not least to encourage people to actively re-use them for research, learning, innovation, new creativity and fun! Her motto ‘Sharing is Caring’ forms the baseline for her work in local and international communties such as Wiki Labs Culture and Europeana. It’s also the name of her conference Sharing is Caring, which has set the agenda for openness in the global cultural heritage community since 2011.
